Code of Ethics for the National Association of REALTORS®
NOTE: At the 2019 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Francisco, the Board of Directors approved the recommendation to extend the Code of Ethics training cycles to three years, beginning January 1, 2022. The current cycle was extended to December 31, 2021.
REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles.
The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
The current three-year cycle began January 1, 2019. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2021.
Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

To see if you have met the Code of Ethics requirement for the current cycle you can either:
- Visit nar.realtor and click sign-in in the top right corner*. Once signed in, click on your name> go to Manage Account>My Education. (If you have not set this up, you can first register with your NRDS ID and Last Name)
