New Member Orientation and MLS Basic Training- During COVID-19
We are so excited that you have recently joined the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS® and MGCMLS!
Per the GCAR and MLS Bylaws and NAR, new members must complete New Member Orientation and MLS Basic Training within 90 days of joining or the first date available. (See Bylaws Below)
Due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, all in-class New Member Orientation and MLS Basic Training classes have been canceled. Instead, you will have the option to complete New Member Orientation and MLS BasicTraining Online. You will still be required to complete ALL the training online within 90 days of joining and submit your certificates of completion to receive credit.
- New Member Orientation: Online New Member Orientation will be a 2 part process to complete
Once you completed both of these online modules, your new member orientation requirement will be satisfied.
Please note: To log in and access both of these modules, you will first need to create your NAR Account at www.nar.realtor using your NRDS id#.
Section 4. New Member Code of Ethics Orientation.
Applicants for REALTOR® membership and provisional REALTOR® members shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time. This requirement does not apply to applicants for REALTOR® membership or provisional members who have completed comparable orientation in another association, provided that REALTOR® membership has been continuous, or that any break in membership is for one year or less.
Failure to satisfy this requirement within 90 days of the date that provisional membership was granted will result in denial of the membership application or termination of provisional membership.
