Required MLS Training


Beginning January 1, 2018, all new MLS users joining the Mississippi Gulf Coast MLS must complete a mandatory MLS Training within 90 days of becoming active.

MGCMLS will hold trainings several times a month at the REALTOR® Building. Details and registration for classes can be found on the GCAR calendar on the homepage.

If training is not completed within 90 days, the agent may lose access to MLS services.

Registration is free and for all members.

*If the new MLS user is also a new primary GCAR member, this is in addition to New Member Orientation required for new GCAR members.

New Member Orientation 

We are so excited that you have recently joined the Gulf Coast Association of REALTORS®!

Per the GCAR Bylaws and NAR, new members must complete New Member Orientation within 90 days of joining the association or the first date available. GCAR offers New Member Orientation Quarterly. (See Bylaws Below)

What to expect at New Member Orientation:

-2.5 hours of required Code of Ethics training
-A panel of local professionals to give a look into the anatomy of a transaction

-Association Benefits
-REALTOR® Safety and more!

To register for New Member Orientation, visit the calendar on the homepage. New Member Orientation is offered once every quarter. 

GCAR ByLaws:
Section 4. New Member Code of Ethics Orientation.
Applicants for REALTOR® membership and provisional REALTOR® members shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time. This requirement does not apply to applicants for REALTOR® membership or provisional members who have completed comparable orientation in another association, provided that REALTOR® membership has been continuous, or that any break in membership is for one year or less.

Failure to satisfy this requirement within 90 days of the date that provisional membership was granted will result in denial of the membership application or termination of provisional membership.
